A day with the buddhas (part one-dinosaurs)

So Jacque and Cory decided to take the buddhas to the dinosaur museum. Since the museum is just down the street I decided to go along and help babysit (Jacque and Cory can be quite the handful.) Well one of the funniest things for me was to watch Brendan. He would put his leg into the display and make the announcement go off telling us that we were to close to the display and so he would move his foot then just put it right back. It was funny (at first). All the kids seemed to enjoy lookin at all the fossils and bones. Brendan kept growling which I hope meant he liked the dinosaurs too. One of my favorite pictures was of Christian standing with his big beautiful smile next to one of the dinosaurs who wanted to smile just as big as he was.

The Simple Things

James and I are explorers. We like to drive around and just get out to explore the beauty that is around us and believe me there is a lot of it. While we were out on a sunday drive this last weekend we came upon this sign. WHAM!!!!!!! Yes at first it mostly just hit us as funny but really when you stop to think about it when was the last time you stopped and smelled the roses? stopped and read your kid a bedtime story instead of watching your favorite t.v. show? stopped to tell someone how much you appreciate them and love them? Or just stopped to realize how lucky we all are to be here on this beautiful planet? I know I definitely could stop a little more and rush a lot less. Life is beautiful.

I am lucky to have a husband and family who constitently remind me that life is all about the simple things. One day I came home for lunch my husband had made me lunch. It was a chicken quesadilla that he made look like a smiley face. I had been having a bad day and he completely changed that for me. I was laughing so hard I almost couldn't eat it......Almost. He is constantly doing little things like that for me and I am very lucky for it. James I don't say it enough but you are a wonderful husband and I love you.

So I guess the whole point of this blog is to rememind us all (especially me) that time is one of the most important things in this life. Time with our loved ones. Time with ourselves. Time giving services. Time learning. Time teaching. Ect... I hope all of you who took the time to stop and read my blog have a great day and know that I love and appreciate all of the people in my life I am privileged and blessed to know!

Film Is Not Dead

My sister in law went to a conference for photographers a few weeks ago and she really loved one that dealt with film. She has a shirt that now says film is not dead. So I kinda felt like putting a few photos I have taken with the film camera my brother gave me and post them on here. I know I'm not even close to a good photographer but let me know what you think.
